Winemakers

“At Osoyoos Larose I discovered some of the best terroirs I have ever seen in my life.”

Talented, experienced and passionate, Pascal is a classically trained French viticulturalist and winemaker. Born in Paris, France, Pascal completed a Bachelor of Science and then went on to obtain an Oenology National Diploma from the University of Bordeaux in 1989. Shortly thereafter, Pascal took over operations at Château Laffite Carcasset in St-Estèphe, Bordeaux. Following that, Pascal became technical director of the Château La Tour Blanche in St. Christoly du Médoc.

Intrigued by the potential of the South Okanagan region and inspired by the vision of Vincor Canada, and Groupe Taillan, Pascal traveled to Canada in 2001. During his three-month stay in the South Okanagan, Pascal worked closely with wine consultant Alain Sutre and the Vincor team throughout the harvest of 2001 and helped to develop the lauded Le Grand Vin 2001.

In 2002, Pascal convinced his family to move from the Médoc region of France to the Okanagan. That August he was appointed to Osoyoos Larose as winemaker and vineyard manager. Pascal, who works with the advice of Groupe Taillan consultant Alain Sutre (Ertus Consulting), is solely responsible for daily management of the vineyards and wine facility in Oliver.
